Hyaluronidase is a safe and effective way to quickly dissolve unwanted filler, lumps, and bumps.

THE PRODUCT:

Hyaluronidase (Filler Dissolve)

KEY BENEFITS

If you’re not happy with your hyaluronic acid fillers, don’t worry—you can always dissolve them with hyaluronidase!

Hyaluronidase can be used for people who have…

What is Hyaluronidase?

Hyaluronidase is a naturally occurring enzyme that helps to break down hyaluronic acid. Injectable fillers such as Juvederm, Aliaxin, Restylane are made of hyaluronic acid, a substance that attracts and holds water in the skin. This gives the fillers their plumping, volumizing effect.

A quick and painless process taking only a few minutes to inject.

However, sometimes patients may not be happy with the results of their injectable filler treatment, or they may experience side effects such as bruising or swelling. In these cases, hyaluronidase can be used to dissolve the filler and return the patient’s appearance to its pre-treatment state. The injection is relatively quick and easy, and it typically takes less than 24 hours for the hyaluronidase to take effect.

A consultation with a qualified aesthetician or doctor can help you determine which type of peel is best for you.

Hyaluronidase Treatment Overview

DURING YOUR TREATMENT

The enzyme works by breaking down the bonds that hold together the molecules of hyaluronic acid. This action will cause the filler to gradually disappear over the course of a few hours to days..

Hyaluronidase is typically injected just beneath the surface of the skin using a very fine needle. The injection usually takes less than five minutes to complete, and there is typically no need for anesthesia. Side effects are rare but may include bruising, soreness, or swelling at the injection site.

It’s a quick and painless process that will only take a few minutes to inject.

Who is it for?

When people want to achieve a more youthful appearance, they may turn to dermal fillers. These injectable treatments can help to add volume and reduce the appearance of wrinkles. However, as with any cosmetic procedure, there is always a risk of complications. In some cases, the filler may be placed too deep in the skin or in an area where it does not belong. If this happens, hyaluronidase can be used to dissolve the filler and correct the problem. Hyaluronidase is an enzyme that breaks down hyaluronic acid, which is a key component of many dermal fillers. By injecting hyaluronidase into the skin, the physician can dissolve the unwanted filler and help restore the patient’s natural appearance.

How long does it take for the filler to dissolve?

Most of the filler will be dissolved within 24 hours after treatment. You can be reinjected with filler again 7-14 days after treatment.

Nothing But Professional

As always, Dr Dallas was nothing but professional! I had lip augmentation and Anti-Wrinkle Treatment with Dallas and he done an excellent job. My mother also had Anti-Wrinkle Treatment and Profhilo.
We are both so happy with the results. We wouldn’t trust anyone else with out treatments and would highly recommend Dallas for any treatment anyone is considering. We will most definitely be returning.

FAQ

Immediately after the dissolve is injected we see the filler begin to break up, this process will continue over the next few hours to days.

Dissolving can be a little stingy initially, at DrDallasClinic we blend local anaesthetic into the dissolving to reduce the any associated pain and keep you comfortable.

My doctor wants to dissolve my filler before they inject. Why is this? Can you not inject over current filler?

This can indeed be the case. To ensure that we can give you the results we will stand over, occasionally we need to remove old or poorly placed fillers which are getting in the way of your best results.

When old fillers are well placed than a dissolve is not usually necessary, this is why careful examination is absolutely necessary before any procedure is carried out.

The dissolving agent is a prescription only medicine, therefore in the republic of Ireland only a prescribing doctor or dentist can carry out this procedure.
Hyaluronidase is an enzyme that is naturally occurring in our bodies, enzymes are very specific to what type of material they can work on. In the case of hyaluronidase it can only dissolve hyaluronic acid, therefore we can only dissolve hyaluronic acid with it. High quality filler products prove to be much more responsive to dissolve, where as we do see some difficulty with cheaper filler products. This may be due to how they are made or other constituents within them.
Dissolving filler is generally a safe procedure, however there is a small risk of severe allergic reactions that have been recorded. It is very uncommon, but to ensure your safely we always carry out a patch test in advance of your treatment to ensure your safety. This patch test will be carried out 30 min before we go ahead with dissolving. Ie they are done on the same day.
When filler is dissolved it is broken down into its basic molecules and cleared out of your body like all other waste within your body systems.
The dissolving agent is quoted to continue dissolving for up to 5 days after injection. This is why we wait at least 7-14 days before proceeding with a new filler treatment, as we do not wish for new filler to be dissolved if the procedure was carried out too soon.
